Schools Linking Project

Commit2Africa are working on a schools linking project, connecting schools in the UK with schools in Cameroon. The linking project will offer the opportunity for children across the sea to communicate through letters, drawings and photographs. It will also mean that the children of both countries can learn more about life in a different land. Our schools in Cameroon are very poor. They lack even the most basic equipment such as stationary and paper. We hope that our UK schools will consider fundraising for their Cameroonian friends.

If you are interested in linking your UK with one of our Cameroonian schools, please contact us.

Below are some schools in Cameroon you might be interested in linking your school with:

Jinkfuin School is especially for children from very poor families. The school was set up by Reverend Teh of Goodness and Mercy Missions, for children whose parents cannot afford school fees, books, uniforms, and other things that in many schools are compulsory for attendance. When I visited this school in May, I was shocked to find that the children did not have basic equipment such as pencils and exercise books. Commit2Africa has since donated pencils and an exericse book for each child. However, there is still a long way to go in helping this lovely, friendly school. Many children on our sponsorship program attend this school, which made my visit there even more special.
